The Baklava, though occasionally perceived as less fresh, hints at the kitchen’s ambition to diversify beyond savory fare with its sweet, nutty layers of pastry.

I usually get it to go. They aren't usually packed when get there between 11a-12p. I don't wait long for the food to be read. I only get their roast beef, which is always good. Not a fan of onion rings in general, but my co-workers say their rings are good. Everything there seems fairly priced.
I've been going here with my uncle since I was a kid. Liberty Bell is a staple of Melrose. Everything they serve tastes fresh and is beyond tasty. Went today around 1pm and got a chicken finger basket (pictured) and it was excellent. Came out pretty fast. Asked for the fries xtra well and they delivered. Came out perfectly . Service is friendly, and restaurant is clean. Highly recommend!
Shrimp was on point. And homemade chicken tenders. Not your typical everyday sub shop kind of tenders. The people here are SO nice too. I just watched a young man serve 2 cups of ice water to an elderly couple. Aww. So sweet. Come check this place out. Pasta, Seafood, Chicken fingers. Cheeseburgers, you name it. There is a little something for everyone.
The roast beef on my sandwich was off the hook, minus the flattened onion roll. Clam chowder was very good too, if a bit heavy on the potatoes and light on the cream. Shrimp was good, nothing special. Baklava was very tasty but stale. Overall, very good food, super friendly service. Interior was cafeteria style.
Delicious seafood and fair prices. Portions are very generous as well. Each time I am in town I make sure to stop at Liberty Bell for the Broiled Scallops and New England Clam Chowder. Staff is friendly and service is quick, would highly recommend.
Id give it a 4.4 if I could. They cook their fish really well, but there's always something that keeps me from giving them a 5. Like the haddock sandwich that was tasty but completely disintegrated in my hands (needs a more robust bun). Clam chowder is clam-forward in taste, but not the perfect creaminess.
I love their fried seafood plates. Their steak tip salad is delicious too. They have a good number of tables and there is ample parking. It is definitely kid friendly and is wheelchair accessible.
